For most of us when we start a new exciting thing, we completely focus on the goal rather than on the process that we need to go through to get where we want to be.
I’am always kind of a guy who want things to happen too immediately.
Over the time as I got more experience in my journey. I found, things don’t happen in moments, but happens overtime as a process.
A great quote comes to my mind,
No matter how great the talents or efforts, some things just take time. You can’t produce a baby in one month by getting nine women pregnant. ~ Warren Buffett
Patience Is the inherent of focus. Both patience and focus are much like twin sisters. Without patience you don’t have focus. And ultimately your rush leads to inability to take action.
Lowering your expectations is the key here to be patience.
Because most of the time we don’t see the big picture that results in bigger beyond our thinking.
Think about it, can you expect to grow a big and strong tree today that you just planted a few minutes ago.
As the old saying goes, “Rome wasn’t built in one day.” Great things happen after consistent efforts of over a period of time, not in rush.
Take a step back, breathe deeply and slowly, get outside to meet a friend and talk. Get relax, then come back — set a goal — create a plan — be ready to put your effort consistently.
Take this quote with you to not forget this truth.
Success is a process not an event. It is direction not a destination. ~ Michelle Risi
