One effective learning technique that no one will not teach you is teaching. 😋
Of course, you learn things by doing, by repeating, and by practicing. But you learn faster by teaching.
But it doesn’t mean that you need to join an institute to teach others. You can start as simple as with your friends or if you’re studying in a group you can ask others questions and solve their problems.
Here are three reasons why teaching is effective way to learn
You learn more faster
When I was at college, I used to finish my tasks faster because I’am under looming deadlines. I work well under pressure.
Now I have more experience, but I took more time to finish my tasks. Because I’m lazy and don’t work well when there is a lack of pressure.
But after I started to teach others and took lectures, I become very responsible and committed. Because anytime anyone will ask me their doubts, So I needed to learn faster and more.
And it become a kind of external force started to push me commit seriously and to do more.
Trying different methods
As a teacher, you’ll notice that you get questions from your students. If you aren’t getting any questions, it either means you are exceptionally good at teaching or you are boring and just putting people to sleep.
As you answer their questions, you will increase your knowledge more and you will be trying different methods to make the complex topics into easier for your students.
Finally, it helps more you than your student.
Retention power increases
Repetition. You will start to engage with the same topic many times. As you answer the questions more and help your students more, you’re repeating the same stuff with yourself more and more. And also you will find different angles or perception of the same topic.
It’s really helpful, Because it’s boring to revise the things that you have already studied. But doing this process with someone as teaching is fun and more engaging.
Do you teach anyone? if so, then tell me your findings about the benefits of teaching others in the comment section.
